THE BEAUTY OF EDUCATION - The Liberty Launches Age Concern awareness week

The official launch of The Liberty shopping centre's charity of the year, became a family day of fun and education with a touch of indulgence.

Shoppers were treated to free beauty treatments at the Pamper Zone, courtesy of Paul Falltrick hairdressing, Boots make up concessions and Lush - beauty products, whilst they learnt about the information and services that Age Concern provide.

To encourage and entice shoppers to the Age Concern awareness stand, The Liberty held a shopping star of the hour promotion. Every hour the title was given to a shopper who had visited the Age Concern stand. Winners Kim Hutchins, Vilma Taimbo, Barbara Smith, Julie Longhurst, May Ball and Terri Meason received a free beauty box courtesy of Lush!

With shoppers looking extra glam after a session at the pamper zone, free photographic shoots were offered to shoppers by Zone Photography who requested a donation in return, to raise funds for Age Concern Charity.

The awareness continues at The Liberty throughout the week, with Age Concern stands providing various services and information on blood pressure testing, insurance, advocacy, day centre, volunteer recruitment and general information services.
