NEW STORE OPENINGS AT THE LIBERTY SHOPPING CENTRE

The Liberty shopping centre is bucking the trend with retailers opening new stores offering wider ranges of fashion and accessories for the fashion conscious shopper.

The centre has seen the opening of 4 new stores so far this year, including Italianissimo a high quality Italian coffee and food operator, who are already being hailed as a potential award winner for the Havering Business Awards for the Young Business of the Year Award. Oxygen fashions whose cutting designs attract young female shoppers in the 18 - 35 age range, Shakeaway providing fun and extraordinary milkshakes who recently won the title as Retailer of the year from Shopping Centre Magazine and the return of Unze shoes located in Lockwood walk.

Swarovski will be opening this week, with an exquisite range of crystal figurines and jewellery. The most significant announcement is that River Island will be opening in The Liberty this Autumn. Their new store, located in The Liberty main square will carry the full range of women's and men's fashions. The opening of River Island and Swarovski confirms The Liberty as the prime fashion destination in Romford, housing retail brands such as Next, H&M, Aldo shoes, Top Shop and Monsoon.

David Collins, General Manager of The Liberty shopping centre commented ‘I am delighted that The Liberty continues to be recognised as a key destination for retailers. Our recent surveys have been telling us that our customer's first choice new store is River Island, so it is a real pleasure to be introducing them. We are still receiving interest from other complimentary retailers and it is our aim to be able to offer our shoppers an even greater choice.

The Liberty are currently in the process of a centre rebrand and refurbishment project that will see the Stewards Walk entrance redesigned with a new landmark tower creating an exciting new view of The Liberty from South Street, together with improved lighting and access.
